McClelland Elementary Media Center is a safe place for all students to explore books that interests them, challenges them, and sparks a fire for reading. Mrs. Misty Day is our Media Specialist. She has served Long County School System for 24 years. She has taught in a DEL setting, third grade, kindergarten, fifth grade, fourth grade, and LCMS Media Specialist. Mrs. Day is an avid reader. She leads by example. She believes reading opens doors and sets children up for success. She cultivates a fun reading environment for all readers.
LCSS uses Beanstack for Reading Tracking and Incentives. Students read books of their choice and log them in the app. The app applies the books to appropriate challenges and the students earn badges for completing challenges. Student use a punch card to be rewarded earning badges.
