Principal
Welcome to our school! I’m honored to serve as your Principal and proud to be part of the Long County community. I bring over 22 years of experience in education. As a certified elementary education teacher I spent most of my career teaching 4th and 5th grade. I have also served as an Instructional Coach and an Assistant Principal where I supported teachers in developing effective instructional practices and fostering positive school cultures. I am also a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. Outside of school, you can find me with a fishing pole in hand or rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I look forward to partnering with you to ensure every student thrives and reaches their full potential. Together, we can make this a wonderful year of growth, achievement, and joy.
Assistant Principal
I am honored to serve as the Assistant Principal at McClelland Elementary School. My career began in the elementary classroom, where I developed a deep passion for nurturing young learners and helping them grow both academically and socially. Those years in the classroom shaped the way I lead today. I believe every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. I continued in supporting students through the GaMTSS process as an intervention teacher for third, fourth, and fifth grade students.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. Together, we love being outdoors, traveling, going to the beach, watching and playing sports, and running. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me of the importance of the strong partnerships we build between home and school.
I am excited to continue working alongside the amazing students, staff, and families of McClelland Elementary. It is a privilege to be part of a community that is so dedicated to learning, growth, and success.
Assistant Principal
My name is Carlton Milton. I am in my second year as assistant principal at McClelland Elementary School. This is my 11th year in education, where I have spent time as a social studies teacher, physical education teacher, head coach (softball and soccer), and assistant coach of several sports. My wife, Taylor, and I have been married for 6 years, and we have a daughter (Nolan) and a son (Beckett). I am a big fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and I enjoy watching the PGA Tour. I also enjoy all things outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and hiking.
