Congratulations to our Young Georgia Author System Level Winners. We are very proud of their accomplishments in writing. These have been submitted for judging at First District RESA.
Our District school improvement focus is Literacy. This fundraiser is an excellent, simple and effective tool to meet this goal. MES will host this fundraiser March 4th-13th. Information will be sent home today.
McClelland Elementary School had a very special assembly today. The McIntosh Counter Shouters presented an amazing performance for our students.

Long County Schools will reopen tomorrow, October 11, 2024 for all students and staff. We look forward to a great day at school.
From Long County Schools Due to concerns about potential wind gusts and unsafe roads, schools and offices will be closed tomorrow, October 10. All after school events and activities for tomorrow have been canceled. At this time, we plan to resume normal schedules and operations on Friday, October 11.
All faculty and staff of the Long County School System will return on Monday, October 7. We are pleased to announce that schools will reopen for students on Tuesday, October 8. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we have diligently worked to safely return to normal operations.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. McClelland Elementary Students are encouraged to participate in the Cybersecurity Poster Contest. The students may submit a hand drawn or digitally created poster. All posters are due to the School by November 1st.
